Hi, my friends... I feel crushed. Really crushed.
I haven't been around for a while now, I've been busy taking care of some family issues and a job making some sculptures, but a few minutes ago I just read a post on my facebook page about a guy starting a donation for a Star Wars comic project where, guess what happens, you got it: Mace Windu survives... This guy wants to raise 4500 dollars to work on his fan fiction project and I just feel lost and devastated... His facebook page for his project has 200 likes. Mine? 6. He is even using the same picture I use for my twitter account and my same tagline.
I just sent a message to Forever Geek (a site dedicated to report geeky news) and try to explain the situation to them so they can check my work here, on my web page [link]
and in Secret Alliances' twitter [link]
In my mind the idea of asking money for me to work on this project was out of the question. ALL CHARACTERS AND PLACES ARE A LUCASFILMS TRADEMARK!!! How can I try to charge for a fan fiction variant on something someone else created???
From the first time I posted the first panel I completed I've been committed to deliver the best I can AND MY PAY AND REWARD ARE YOUR COMMENTS, YOUR FEED BACK, YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT. THAT AND NOTHING MORE. My dream is to make Secret Alliances a Star Wars Official canon story and some day get a job in the comic industry.
Please help me, I beg you... If you have a facebook account please visit this one and like it: [link]
A few weeks ago I started a twitter campaign to promote my web comic and got two very important retweets, one from Daniel Logan (Boba Fett) and another from Axel Alonso (Marvel Comics Editor in Chief), I'll say good bye now with the same message I used, for this is my most desperate hour:
Help me @deviantart you are my only hope... #WinduLives
P.S. I created that hashtag and now this guy uses it to promote his "idea"
